There is a light in everything we touch waiting for us to know it. There is a kernel of wisdom in every interaction, every situation of our lives. Through the practice of Shamanic Journeying and the cultivation of our own inner power, we can become more present to the deep richness of experience we share everyday. We can become more fully who we are and find authentic ways of being that person with those around us. We can learn to become the invitation they need to step into their own experience.

Please join Rev Darren Chittick for this workshop that will include some sharing of information with a lot of practice. He will blend his understanding of indigenous wisdom as that which comes from the many perspectives of human experience from around the world.

First Sunday Brunch
The first Sunday of each month, right after the worship service. This regular event is a great time to meet and greet other members of the church. Come Join Us!

Sufi Poetry Reading and Discussion
Second Sunday of every month
11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Join us after the Sunday service for a reading and discussion of Sufi Poetry. This time will be facilitated by Farzad and Dr. Mary Ann Fadae.

Healing Sunday
The second Sunday of each month

Join us for a time for healing at The Church Within. Following the service there will be time for individuals or groups to receive healing or information about different modalities from one of the numerous practitioners at The Church Within. These sessions, whether informational or actual healing sessions, are free of charge and any donations made will go directly to the general fund.

Join us at 9am for quarterly breakfast! Each breakfast will be prepared by a team of folks and will include favorites old and new. Tell Yvonne if you want to volunteer to take a Sunday!

Wednesdays:

Meditation for Recovering People
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Meditation for Recovering People is open to anyone working a 12-step program of recovery regardless of addiction. Based loosely on “The 12-Step Buddhist,” by Darren Littlejohn, this group is meant to complement rather than take the place of regular 12-step meetings. Participants will identify themselves only by their first names, not by their addiction.

The one hour group will include 2 periods of meditation, one short for centering and one longer on a topic chosen by the leader of that night’s meeting. Discussion of the topic will follow the meditation. No prior experience with meditation is needed. A handout on beginning meditation techniques will be given to everyone at the start of the meetings.

THURSDAYS:

Keeping on Course
7:00p-8:30p

This on-going class will be centering on individual study of A Course in Miracles Workbook. The group will gather each week to share the ways that this practice is intersecting their lives and discuss related topics from the Text. NEWCOMERS OF ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME!
