With a name like The Church Within you might imagine many people ask, "Just what kind of church are you?" You would be right. Some people have found it easier to answer that question by describing what we are not rather than what we are. That list is shorter!

Because The Church Within is an experience more than a definable 'thing,' it is difficult to describe. The first clues you might find are in the quotes that pop up on the different pages of this site from our members.

Beyond these you might just come in and give us a try. Any given Sunday looks much like a service at any other place of worship in the city. We are a gathering of people with a common spirituality who are looking for more ways to really bring our understanding of spiritual truths into our daily lives and to encourage each other doing the same. We are really about a spiritual practice that focuses on where ‘the rubber meets the road.’

The small differences that come through are usually in how people feel when they walk out at the end of a service or event with us. The Church Within meets you where you are and as you are and affirms that you are exactly as you should be. We invite you along your individual path as you have found and defined it. We ask you to look at the words in our name and to then redefine church for yourself.
